The Chrysler 300 Thule Canoe Rack features a "bottom down" design that's more efficient than the side mount style. Using this rack, the canoe is loaded from the rear of the 300. The front of the canoe is lifted on to the 300 and then pushed forward. There is never a point when the entire weight of the canoe needs to be lifted. The Chrysler 300 Thule Canoe Rack is also designed to decrease wind sheer resistance at high speeds, which increases gas mileage on long trips.
